Every vessel in our fleet is equipped with modern systems that surpass the required standards for safe operation. We work under a robust Safety Management System aligned with the IMO’s ISM Code and maintain full certification with the Quality Management Standard (ISO 9001) and Environmental Management Standard (ISO 14001), audited and accredited by the American Bureau of Shipping.
Safety to the Core
Safety to the Core
Optimum is committed to delivering quality, safe, and efficient sea transportation while upholding all national and international laws, regulations, and industry standards. Our operations are guided by a strong ethical foundation and a deep respect for the health and safety of our people, as well as for the protection of the environment.
At Optimum, safety is at the core of everything we do. Our Safety Day Program forms an essential part of our broader safety framework, ensuring every member of our team receives the knowledge and guidance they need to work safely and confidently. This initiative reinforces our belief that providing the right information and prioritizing people first is fundamental to maintaining a safe and resilient working environment.
At Optimum, we are committed to not only meeting but consistently exceeding environmental compliance requirements across the marine industry. To support this, we maintain an independent Environmental Compliance and Training team dedicated to verifying full adherence to all applicable regulations. Their purpose is to safeguard the company, our customers, and our employees from the significant risks associated with environmental non‑compliance.
Optimum actively promotes learning and continuous improvement through our Reflective Learning sessions, where qualified office staff conduct focused training with our crew. These sessions encourage open dialogue, helping embed lessons learned from incidents and strengthening hazard‑identification skills across our fleet. We also empower our seafarers to adopt and suggest best management practices. Through initiatives such as Safety Competitions, we share successful safety practices from one vessel across the entire fleet.
At Optimum, our crew’s voice truly matters.
