Crew Conference at Manila, Philippines | October 2016

Optimum convened, again, with their Officers and Crew to familiarize them with the company’s policies and core values, enhance their safety & environmental awareness & listen to their thoughts.

Hence, the 4th Quarter 2016 Crew Conference’ was successfully held in Manila on the 20 & 21 October 2016.

The topics featured during the first day of the conference, included FLEET PERFORMANCE Q3 2016, Safety campaign/Hand Injuries, Machinery Failures tales of the unexpected Collaboration at a Distance, New Approaches in Safety (Resilience/CEO Visits/LET/Reflective Learning), , AMSA video, Safety Awareness on Board , PSC inspections – detentions and Media Handling.

Second day continued with SECAT Introductory and Presentation, The New Life and Healthcare Plan, Incident Follow Up – Reaching the End User, Oil Record Book Workshop & Commercial Issues Presentations!

The conference contained several shipping key elements on which there was strong convergence of the views by speakers, including Cpt. Vasilis Ioannou (Head of HSQE DPA, DCSO of OPTIMUM), Cpt.
