Optimum S.S. Ltd. and Magsaysay recently convened with their Officers and Crew to familiarize them with the company’s environmental compliance policies and core values. Hence, a 3rd Quarter 2015 was successfully held in Manila on the 22-23 of July 2015.

The topics featured in the conference included OSS Presentation, Anchoring Incidents, Environmental Presentation, Statistics and Observations, Shipboard Waste Management & Marine Pollution Prevention.

The conference was specifically focused on examining the most valuable lessons learnt from the past and such experiences safeguarding the company and its seafarers for the future. The conference offered the perfect opportunity to discover the latest updates and to discuss on crewing challenges and solutions through an interactive and informative program. Speakers included Capt. Panagiotis Bitsakis (Head of Crew, Optimum S.S. Ltd.), Capt. Jerry M. Draper (Port Captain & Optimum Ship Services Ltd. representative) and Magsaysay instructors. Overall, Optimum management had the opportunity to rub shoulders and form even stronger bonds with both its seafarers as well as its manning agent in solidifying common goals for the future.
